Poster illustration of entertainer Carmen Miranda. Four figure photos combined in Photoshop to achieve desired posture and facial expression; composite traced by hand in Illustrator and comprised solely of pen-drawn shapes. All fruit created by manually tracing photos in Illustrator with pen and applying gradient mesh; turning illustrations into symbols; and manipulating sprayed symbol sets. Goal was to explore Illustrator techniques and create a largely symbol-based composition.
