Somo Project entrepreneur book
Details
Completed as a client project for The Somo Project, which trains, finances, and mentors entrepreneurs in underserved urban slum areas of Kenya. Developed several design options using various textures and The Somo Project's rich color palette (yellows, reds, and greens/blues); because the client's goal is to help residents build a stronger community from the inside, focused on designs that would emphasize family and relationships. Individual entrepreneur pages incorporate custom banner designs and pull quotes used as captions, to help highlight the individual successes of each business owner. Because the report was mainly distributed as a PDF (primarily to potential new investors), an interactive table of contents and clickable web links were created. Also edited all text to ensure a consistent voice and dialect throughout the book.
