Somo Project catalog 2018

Details

Completed as a client project for The Somo Project (which trains, finances, and mentors entrepreneurs in underserved urban slum areas of Kenya); entailed designing a catalog as a "first step" to marketing products outside of the local Kenyan market. Developed several design options using The Somo Project's rich color palette (yellows, reds, and greens/blues). Because client's goal was to create a very concise catalog to be distributed primarily as a PDF, the limited space precluded developing a traditional table of contents. Challenge was overcome by incorporating a color-coded banner for each product, to match an understated visual key at the top of each page: organic food (yellow), kids corner (pink), and home goods (dark aqua).
